The YCP party has faced a significant setback with the emergence of a personal controversy involving party leader Duvvada Srinivas. The issue, which dominated media headlines for several days, involved allegations of infidelity and family discord.

Duvvada Srinivas’s alleged relationship with Divvela Madhuri, whom she described as her “guide and philosopher,” led to protests by his wife and daughter at his residence. The situation escalated, requiring police intervention to maintain order.

Despite previously criticizing Pawan Kalyan’s marital issues, Duvvada Srinivas found himself in a similar predicament. The YCP leadership, however, chose to remain silent on the matter until recently.

In a decisive move, the YCP has removed Duvvada Srinivas from his position as in-charge of Tekkali. Perada Tilak has been appointed as his replacement to oversee party activities in the region.

The YCP’s decision to act swiftly on this issue can be attributed to the party’s recent electoral setbacks. The party’s performance in the 2024 elections, declining from 151 seats to 11, has made it imperative to address internal issues and maintain a strong public image.
